Portland Archery

Portland Archery was originally founded in 2014 by Michael Margadonna and Kate MacQuarrie with the intention of crafting sustainable bows. After much thoughtful consideration, we have switched gears and we are happy to announce that as of July 2016 we have merged with Wildwood Archers’ founder Jules Leach, and Wild Rose Archery proprietor Joseph Flanagan. Together, we are in the final stages of transitioning into a 501(c)3 non-profit organization looking to cultivate and maintain a strong community of archers in the Portland metro area.

Since the merge we have been lucky enough to collaborate with Portland Parks & Recreation in July of 2016 to redesign and renovate the beloved Washington Park Archery Range with the help of a grant from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

This project was such a success that we have continued to work together and collaborate with Parks and Recreation to implement more improvements, and begin hosting some free classes, groups, and activities.

We are also in the beginning stages of cultivating the first Portland JOAD team, so if you are between the ages of 8 and 20, and are looking to get into competitive archery, drop us a line.
